EMSECS is giving its first exam outside the United States on October 8,2010 in London, Ontario, Canada. More details and application is below.

 

SERvice oppportunity

On behalf of the Emergency Medical Services Educator Certification Services (EMSECS) Board of Directors, I would like to extend a service opportunity to interested EMS educators.  

The BOD is seeking dynamic and energetic EMS Educators as applicants for the EMSECS Board of Directors. As you know, national certification for providers, as well as educators, is being developed to complete the componentsof the EMS Education for the Future: A Systems Approach and the EMS Agenda for the Future.  We invite you to be an integral part of this process by participating as an EMSECS BOD member.

Please complete the linked application, along with your resume, letter of interest and 2 letters of recommendations to the new NAEMSE Office at the address on the Application by November 15, 2010.

EMSECS Upcoming exams

EMSECS is continuing to offer more exams in 2010. Seats are limited to 50 people at each exam site so register early to secure a seat for the exam. The exam consists of 100 multiple choice questions and will take approximately 2 hours. Please click here for the examination application and criteria.

The exam dates and location are as follows:

On Thursday, September 9, 2010 from 7pm-9pm, the exam will be given at 2010 NAEMSE Annual Symposium at the Renaissance Schaumburg Hotel & Convention Center located at 1551 North Thoreau Drive in Schaumburg, IL 60173.

On Friday, October 8, 2010 from 9:00am-11:00am, the exam will be given in the London Health Sciences Centre at Southwest Ontario Regional Base Hospital Program located at 4056 Meadowbrook Cres, Unit 145 in London, Ontario, Canada.

On Friday, October 15, 2010 from 5:00pm-7:00pm, the exam will be given in Room 320 of Wile Hall at Clarian Health / Methodist Hospital located at 1701 North Senate Blvd. in Indianapolis, IN 46206.

what does the abbrevation "NCEE" mean?

You might have seen several people on the Board of Directors with the abbrevation "NCEE" at the end of their name. These individuals are among the first to be certified as Nationally Certified EMS Educators (NCEE). There are currently about 135 Nationally Certified EMS Educators nationwide.
